Dr. Johmyrin Johnson currently serves as Pastor of Progressive Baptist Church and is a Pharmacist, Professor of Clinical Psychopharmacology, Executive Director of The Village NOLA Adult Literacy non-profit, and Business co-owner (with his wife) of the Johnson Agency in New Orleans. Johmyrin’s passion will always be anchored in ensuring educational equity, especially through advocacy for all students, both traditional and non-traditional, in their academic pursuits. Johmyrin received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Loyola University New Orleans, a Master of Business Administration from the University of New Orleans, a Doctor of Pharmacy from Xavier University of Louisiana, and a Master of Divinity from Union Baptist College and Theological Seminary. His proudest accomplishments are those of being a husband, father and servant to his community, through volunteering with several local organizations.
